‘Games of Crowns’ chronicled the Jacobite uprising of 1715, a particularly turbulent period of British history. Exhibits included the order for the massacre of Glencoe, ‘one of the most chilling documents in the entire annals of Scottish history’. The exhibition was designed to evoke a sense of tension, and appeal to a family audience through digital interactives, audio, video and a ‘Top Trumps’ style game. The client wanted to convey a sense of drama, powerful opposing forces, and civil and political unrest.

From an organisational perspective the client wanted to demonstrate the breadth and importance of the Library’s collections and their relevance.

• research and creation of a closing film
• lighting design and focusing
