The Clyde and Avon Valleys provide arguably the finest examples of fluvioglacial erosion to be found anywhere in Scotland. This is a long and dramatic story, culminating in how the area’s geology has come to shape the lives, culture and livelihoods of the region’s communities, over more recent centuries. The exhibition was designed to encourage visitors into the landscape and to help them to better interpret what they see around them.

Abound, with our partner CMC Associates, conducted community workshops and consulted with experts to shape the exhibition content. Through the use of traditional interpretation panels, hands-on elements and digital media we have created a multi-sensory environment to encourage engagement and
active learning.

In order to provide context and atmosphere, we commissioned a large-scale video projection featuring drone footage taken along the length of the valley, and geological-to-industrial, soundscape.
